WWW.E-MID.COM.MX [1]. The general director of the National Fund for Tourism Development (FONATUR) Miguel Gomez Mont Urueta, said the ground breaking of the Integrally Planned Center (CIP) "Costa Lora" in the state of Tamaulipas, will be held in the coming months.
It is a new tourist resort development for the state that will have 20,000 units for accommodation amid hotels, condominium, villas and tourist residences that will consolidate as a world class destination.
Such important is its economic magnitude that will foster the emergence of a population between the community of La Pesca and the tourism development that in a few years will equal Ciudad Victoria, in population.
The new tourism development, unique in the Gulf of Mexico and approved by the Technical Committee of FONATUR, means the generation of more than 115,000 direct jobs and private investment of around US$4 billion added to the one of the government of Tamaulipas which is close to $2,254 billion pesos.
Master Plan of the project involves the conversion of the Madre Lagoon, rescue and protection of its ecosystems since they are a protected natural area, unique in the continent due to being the largest hyper-saline system of America.
The General Director of FONATUR added that because of the large number of jobs generated by the Integrally Planned Center (CIP), located in the coastal town of Soto la Marina, Tamaulipas, an airport will be created as well as a new population that already has provided continental land that will become another attraction for Costa Lora.
